Philadelphia, October 2.

On Thursday last, one James Smith
received Sentence of Death at our Supream Court, for Burglary and Felony.

We hear from Chester, that the following Gentlemen were elected there, to serve in the Assembly, for that County, viz. Caleb Copelar, Richard Hayes, Joseph Brinton, Thomas Chandler, William Webb, Samuel Gilpin, James James, and Joseph Pennock.

Strayed or Stolen from the Plantation of William Webb, Kennet Township, Chester County, a bright bay Mare, about 10 or 12 Years old, a blaze in her Face. darkish Mane and Tail, branded on the near Buttock with two G G very fair, some white Feet, a natural Pacer. Whoever takes up and secures the said Mare, and gives Notice to myself or Benjamin Franklin, in Philadelphia, so that the Owner may have her again, shall have Twenty Shillings Reward; and if stolen, can secure the Thief so that he is brought to Justice, shall have Three Pounds Reward, paid by me William Webb.
