Mr. Edward Bean Orcutt, whose death we reported last week was a native of Maine, where he was born near Charleston, October 3, 1827. His parents names were David and Phoebe (Inglis). He had been a resident of Jefferson county since 1844. August 8, 1854, he was united in marriage with Miss Rachel McCullough. Seven children were the result of this union, and death had never entered the home till the father was called. The mother and children were all present at the funeral service. Al.lives at Oakland, Md.; Cad. at Leechburg; John and Pearl at Oil City, and the other three, Laura (Mrs. Dr. Holden), Winnie, and Reed at Corsica. Mr. Orcutt has been a member of Pisgah church since 1854 and the funeral services were conducted by the pastor at his late residence on Main St. on Thursday, the 14th. He was well known, and the esteem in which he was held was manifested by the large attendance of neighbors and acquaintances at his funeral.
